Vor drei Jahren hinterließen wir Spuren im Schnee des Olymp. Eine großartige Erfahrung, die noch einzigartiger wurde, als wir uns bewusst machten, dass dort die Geburtsstätte unserer Zivilisation ist. Die griechischen Götter hatten menschliche Gestalt, Gefühle und Fähigkeiten. Sie hatten die gleichen Schwächen wie Menschen, die gleichen Probleme, waren jedoch unsterblich. Unsere Reise in die Berge Griechenlands bedeutete auch die Wiederentdeckung jenes wesentlichen Gefühls des Menschseins, das die Welt verloren zu haben scheint. Zugleich war es auch eine Flucht vor all dem, was uns an unserem heutigen System verhasst ist: die Trägheit und festgelegte Bahnen, die uns scheinbar unaufhaltsam auf einen Abgrund
zusteuern lassen.
Alberto writes:
Three years ago, we had managed to leave the traces of our skis on the snow of Olympus. The experience was immensely charming, and still more charm came from the awareness that those places were the birthplace of our civilization.
Greek gods had human form,
feelings and emotions, all of them, of course, amplified to maximum intensity, but they were immortal. Returning to the mountains of Greece was also rediscovering that essential sense of being human that the world seems to have lost.
At the same time, it was also an escape from all the contradictions we hate: a system that lives and continues only by inertia along defined
roads which seem to be heading towards an abyss..
