GORE-TEX® expands its product portfolio with new materials and product updates

Elkton, Md./U.S. (July 1, 2026) – W. L. Gore & Associates (Gore), creator of the GORE-TEX® brand, has announced the introduction of new materials and product updates. This gives its licensed brand partners even more opportunities to meet the growing demand for multifunctional outdoor clothing designed for comfort, flexibility and durability.

The new developments include WINDSTOPPER® Stretch products by GORE-TEX LABS®, updated GORE-TEX® PACLITE® products and new GORE-TEX® laminates with recycled textile face fabrics.

Following the example of GORE-TEX® Pro clothing, developed for demanding alpine conditions, the expanded product range offers a wider selection of different materials for specific uses, such as running, cycling, hiking or everyday wear. Each innovation is designed to meet particular performance requirements and provides targeted benefits for its intended use.

- WINDSTOPPER® Stretch products by GORE-TEX LABS® offer improved comfort when running or cycling thanks to enhanced freedom of movement, and are stretchy and breathable. The portfolio includes a wide selection of 3-layer laminates with proven windproof protection and integrated stretch technology, combined with a pleasantly soft material that maintains its functionality during intense activity and daily use.

- GORE-TEX® PACLITE® products provide reliable protection despite their low weight and guarantee unrestricted freedom of movement – they are suitable for hiking as well as everyday use. The optimized construction with an ultra-thin backing material offers a comfortably lightweight feel while providing the durably waterproof protection consumers expect from GORE-TEX® products.

- The new GORE-TEX® laminates feature a recycled polyester textile face fabric made entirely from industrial textile waste and represent an important step towards material circularity.

These product innovations are based on insights from consumer research, close collaboration with our customers and more than 50 years of expertise in materials science. They help Gore brand partners meet consumer expectations in a targeted way. Market research findings show that more than 70% of consumers consider sustainability when purchasing clothing, while functionality remains a key factor in the final purchasing decision.

The new material technologies are available immediately to all GORE-TEX® brand licensees worldwide and can be used to design clothing and accessories for new collections.
