Tomas has loved skiing since childhood. Growing up as an alpine skier, he became a 5-time Czech Champion and participated in several Alpine World Championships. However, he achieved his greatest successes as a ski crosser. He is a two-time World Champion, won 15 World Cup races, and was a four-time overall World Cup winner. In recent years, Tomas organizes heliskiing trips, trains young ski talents, and spends as much time as possible ski touring.
